ABOUT OUR WHITE BOX SESSIONS

As Family Photographers and as parents ourselves, we know how wonderful it is having a beautiful portrait of the family hanging proudly in the home, but what if you want something a bit different?

We recently launched our White Box photoshoots and a year later they are so popular. These are one of the most fun photoshoots for all the family to join in with. Anything goes, if you can think it we can do it. We’ve had football themes, fancy dress, nerf battles and so much more.
The sessions are rapid-paced, very active, and hilarious for everyone taking part. The whole family can join in as the end game is often multiple images shown together, so we can do different combinations of people in each box.
If you want a modern, creative piece of art on your walls with all your family looking like they are having an amazing time together – then a White Box photoshoot is a great solution.

A family portrait session is also a great excuse to get the whole family together and can be the perfect way to celebrate a special event such as an anniversary or a birthday.

1. DISCOVERY

The most important step. This is where we discover what you hold most dear in your life, who you chose to share this amazing photographic experience with and what will make everything so meaningful. It’s a chance for you to pause, to stop and think, to remember who you love, what you love and why. This simple and yet moving part of our experience allows you to see and reconnect with even the small things in your life, little details, simple gestures that often go unseen, or even merely taken for granted. Through our discovery calls we learn what is most special and what connects you all.

2. PHOTOGRAPHY

Your discovery experience is then brought into your photography session. This is where we get to photograph what you love and treasure most in life. This powerful photography captures all of the details, the touch, the expression and the bond between you and your loved ones. There’s an energy to our photography sessions, they are enjoyable and fun, natural and easy for everyone. You interact with your loved ones rather than awkwardly pose for the camera. It’s just you really being yourselves – but together and connected.

3. REVEAL

An incredible cinematic experience. Sit back, relax and be wowed as we reveal your unique, personal family portraits. Following on from your reveal is your design consultation, where we work together to create incredible, bespoke artwork.

4. ARTWORK

Once designed, your portraits and artwork will be edited and retouched before being sent in to production. Our aim is to have your artwork ready for collection within 4-6 weeks of your order. Your finished wall art will be safely packaged and importantly ready to display with huge pride and love within your home – and yes we would love to see a photo!

ANSWERING YOUR QUESTIONS

Most people will never have heard of a white box photoshoot (let alone have done one before), so it’s no surprise we get asked lots (and lots) of questions. Here are some of the popular questions we get asked, however, if you have different questions feel free to get in touch.

Technically as the concept is multiple images forming one artwork, the box can involve lots of people – I think seven people in the box is about the most at one time.

Yes we recommend you do. We normally suggest a light section (jeans and white tshirt kind of look) then a colourful set up, then something comfy (yes bring your onesies), the kids can bring their super hero costumes and dinosaur pjs – anything goes!

Yes, Yes and Yes again. Props in the box are so much fun. We’ve had everything from fancy dress costumes, nerf guns, sporting items, we’ve seen ballet, boxing and baking – so you will only be limited by your imagination

There isn’t so much of an age limit, but we advise that everyone taking part needs to be able to sit. Stand and walk comfortably. The box is raised about 6 inches off of the floor so we need to make sure everyone is safe.
