In the studio

Our professional portrait studio is in Thatcham, Berkshire, within an impressive Victorian mansion. The studio is a great space to work in, complete with some of the best lighting and equipment from leading brands in the industry such as Profoto, Elinchrom, Sony, and more.

Accessibility

The portrait studio is located just off of the A4 in Thatcham, almost behind Kennet School and is within a few minute’s walk of both Thatcham Railway Station & Thatcham town centre. The site It is ideally located in a quiet no through road has a huge car park that is free. The studio is easily accessible for both pushchairs & wheelchairs as it is on the ground floor.

Variety

Inside our studio, we have the perfect space, a huge white blank canvas. This enables us to create the well known bright white studio images (and for very large groups of people) but it also gives us the flexibility to do so much more. Don’t want white? That’s no problem – we have every option covered with our huge variety of coloured backgrounds, totally unique hand-painted backgrounds, and selection of different flooring – so we really can create any look and feel.

Equipment

We use the very best photography equipment in all aspects of our portraiture. Our camera systems have been recently upgraded, we are now using extremely high megapixel Sony Alpha camera bodies combined with top of the range Sony Gmaster lenses – this combination generates the sharpest images with stunning clarity. Our studio is blessed with a range of profoto studio lighting heads, which are just stunning and give the most consistent and powerful light, this light is then controlled and modified by a variety of Elinchrom modifiers – again, these are simply the best.

Equipment doesn’t make a great image, it’s true. But put the best equipment into the hands of a creative and knowledgeable photographer and the images are breath taxingly beautiful.

A comprehensive professional service from start to finish! The booking process and initial discussion as to what I was looking for was done in a way that ensured we both knew what was required and I knew what to expect at the session. On the day I was guided through the process with ease. I hate my photo being taken but Adam made me feel ‘at home’ from the start and was made to feel relaxed. Hence he got some great photos that looked natural. I now have a set of head and shoulder portraits that are suitable for a range of purposes. I highly recommend Adam and even more so if your someone like me that finds having their photo taken uncomfortable!
